Is this for real?
It certainly is. We will handwrite your personalized message on a real yam and send it to anyone in the US.
This might be the dumbest thing I've ever seen.
Sure, it might be dumb, but no one will ever forget getting a YAM-a-gram! In a world of automated, AI-generated, mass produced junk, getting a handmade, human-touched, all-natural YAM-a-gram in the mail demands attention and elicits sheer delight. And technically that wasn't a question. So who's the dumb one here?
Can the yam be eaten?
No. We don't advise anyone to eat their YAM-a-gram. Technically it's a real yam, but it's perishable, and it's been through the mail, and there's marker all over it. So, yuck. Don't eat it. If you feel the urge to do anything except admire it, why not share it on social media? Or better yet, plant it in the ground and see what happens. But eat one? No. Don't eat it.
Can I say anything on my YAM-a-gram?
Within reason. We're in this business because we love to laugh and have fun. We're not offended by swear words, naughty jokes, profanity or innuendo, as long as you and your YAM-a-gram recipient aren't.
Can my YAM-a-gram be anonymous?
You bet. Just don't use your name or include any language that may identify you in your message. Our packages ship using our company return address, not yours. We use your name and email to contact you with order updates, but we don't include it, or any other identifying info about you, on our shipping labels or materials. That said, we reserve the right to reveal your identify, if your recipient feels your message was threatening, hateful or malicious.
What about threatening language?
Nope. We're not in the business of sending threatening, hateful or malicious messages. So, have all the fun you want with your YAM-a-gram, but if we sense it crosses the line in any way, we will cancel and refund your order without notice.
We also reserve the right to reveal your identity to any recipient who feels your message crossed the line and contacts us for that information. So please, keep it light and fun, and we'll all be happy!
Questions about Ordering?
What's with the character limits?
Yams are only so big and our handwriting team can only write so small. Writing on a yam is not as easy as it may seem, and these character limits help us make sure your message will be clear and legible.
Can I use emoji, symbols and foreign language characters?
Sorry, but no. Drawing emojis, symbols and foreign characters on a yam is too hard for our handwriting team. We may explore allowing this in the future, but for now, it best to just keep your messages simple.
Where can I get updates on my order?
You'll receive order updates at the email you gave us during the ordering process. These updates will come from orders@yam-a-gram.com. If you don't see an email from us confirming your order, check your junk mail or spam folder and ensure emails from orders@yam-a-gram are not classified as junk in your email settings.
My order was canceled, now what?
For the most part, we try to contact you with any questions we have about your order before canceling. Please, keep an eye out for any emails from orders@yam-a-gram.com, so we don't miss each other.
If your order was canceled without notice, it was most likely because we felt your message crossed a line into being threatening, hateful or malicious. Feel free to try another order with a different message.
Shipping Questions
How long will it take for my YAM-a-gram to arrive?
Typically, your YAM-a-gram will arrive between 4 to 7 business days from the day you place your order. We offer expedited shipping options, if you're in a rush.Â
Do you guaranteed delivery times?
Sorry, but no. Shipping services are wildly unpredictable, and we're small potatoes in the world of e-commerce. Which means, we're at the whim of our shipping partners. But we do promise to get your YAM-a-gram in the hands of those shipping partners as quickly as humanly possible. The key word there being "human."
When Will My Order Deliver?
Most orders ship within 1–2 business days.
Delivery time (the time from when the order ships and the time when it arrives) depends on your selected shipping method and location. You’ll receive tracking info as soon as your order ships.
We currently offer two shipping options. USPS Ground Advantage (3-5 days) and USPS Priority (1-3 days). These delivery times are based on location (shipping zone) and are an estimate, not a guarantee. Â
Where Is My Order Confirmation?
Your order confirmation is sent to the email address used at checkout. If you don’t see it, check your spam or promotions folder. Still missing? Contact our support team and we’ll resend it.
How Do I Track My Order?
Once your order ships, you’ll receive a tracking number via email. You can also log in to your account to view real-time tracking updates.
Can My Order Be Delivered On an Exact Date
We can't guarantee exact delivery dates, but if you're working with a deadline, reach out before ordering—we’ll do everything we can to help meet your timing needs.
Where Do You Ship From?
All orders ship from our fulfillment center located in Minneapolis, MN.
Can I Change The Shipping Address?
That depends. If your order hasn’t shipped yet, we can help update the address. Contact us ASAP with your order number and the correct address. Once it's shipped, changes are no longer possible.
What Type Of Package Will My Order Arrive In?
Orders are packed securely in an eco-friendly mailer (free of charge), or a branded mailer which is available at an additional cost.
Is My Return Address On The Package That Is Going To My Recipient?
No, but we do include a discreet return address for delivery compliance. The return address shown is our fulfillment address, not your address\
Do You Ship to APO/FPO/DPO and US Territories?
Yes, we do! But these shipments may take a bit longer to arrive so please plan accordingly.
Do you ship internationally?
At the current time, we do not offer shipping to international addresses.
